It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from
Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at
The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of
Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
Welcome in all. Hope the week is starting well for you all.
Saturday for me was spent helping to dig out the veggie garden as roots from other things had grown up in it. All the soil was dug out ( no not me) and then we sifted it through some netting and put weed mat down and put the soil back. Hopefully it won’t compact like it did before. It’s a raised veggie bed. Now to grow veggies again. We had done half about a month ago and already I have some greens growing well. Helps with the growing price of vegetables at the supermarket.
Sunday I was a bit out to it, couldn’t even read I was so tired, so a few doses of Bridgerton and a Dancing with the Stars helped.
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
And still listening to The Fairy Godmother.

That sounds like quite a job! I think I’m taking a break from gardening this year but I do miss it. I love that Sofie Ryan series and am curious about The Fairy Godmother. Is that the Mercedes Lackey book? I hope you have had a great week!

Yes it is the Mercedes Lackey book, I think I picked that up after seeing you review it.

Hope you have your energy back now! I’m late with my Monday commenting, as usual, and I didn’t get any yard work done over the weekend, either. We were out the entire day Saturday and then celebrated Mother’s Day all day long on Sunday, first with my MIL, then with my mother, and then a nice dinner cooked at home for me!
The Sofie Ryan books look like fun!

Wow, Kathryn, I’m impressed – sifted the soil, put down a weed mat, and replaced the clean soil. Well done! My gardens (flowers) are starting to get quite weedy, so now that I am (almost) done with recent trips, I hope to start some weeding this week – all of the native plants I put in last year have come back up and are looking great!
Looks like a nice variety of fun books last week – and some comfort TV! Enjoy your books this week, too, and thanks for hosting the linkup!

What an interesting way of doing your garden. We have raised beds, but it’s almost summer here and we are growing tomatoes and kale and green peppers.
