It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Hope you are all doing okay. We went into Daylight saving this weekend. I haven’t been too upset by it. I actually think the other end, getting the extra hour back, is more difficult!

The weather is very Spring like = very windy. Big gusts! My carrot seed is germinated and small bed for beans is sorted. Now to plant them!

What I read last week:

Beach Read was an interesting read and I finished listening to Unmarriageable on audio. Pride and Prejudice story set in Pakistan.

What I am reading now:

and the audiobook I have started listening to ….

  1. This post reminds me that we’ll be getting our stolen hour back again soon on this side of the world. One of my favorite days of the year! Unmarriageable sounds similar to an enemies-to-lovers audiobook based on Pride and Prejudice I listened to recently — Pride, Prejudice & Other Flavors by Sonali Dev.

  2. Can’t wait to see what you think about the Wiggs and the White. I canned 10 quarts of tomatoes Sunday my garden is slowly dying but I’m going to get the last tomato off the vine if it kills me. LOL I wish we were going into spring instead of fall Kathryn

    1. Fall has its good points as evidenced by all those canned tomatoes. Yummy. I just planted a couple of tomato seeds today, I don’t know if they will germinate, I’ll buy a plant anyway, but a bit cold yet to plant it out yet. I just finished the Wiggs book and enjoyed it. The White book is part of a fun series.

  3. Beach Read looks so cute and the Susan Wiggs has been calling my name. I’ve wanted to read that Karen White series for ages but when I did try one I couldn’t stand the main character so I’ve been hesitant to go back. I’m looking forward to seeing your thoughts.

  4. You’re starting up your garden and I’m winding my down. I’m ready to fall back.

Great books this week. The Lost and Found Bookshop has been on my list to read for a while. Let me know how you like the reading of Karen White’s book.

  5. I’ve been meaning to read that Wiggs book … maybe this week?? Oh how exciting to plant seeds! We, of course, are on the other end of the spectrum and I’m thinking about digging out the sweaters.

  6. The Strangers sounds so intriguing. I’m curious to hear your thoughts about it. You know, I’ve been reading your posts for several years now. It’s partly due to your blog that I remained steadfast in building up my brain to read again after chemo. I can never thank you enough. Hugs to you!

  7. For some reason it always seems like it takes me about a week to adjust to the time changes haha. I have no idea why! It’s been windy here too a bit.

Hope you have a great week ahead!

  8. I hate losing the hour of sleep with daylight savings time! It takes me a week or two to recover. It’s much easier for me the other way. I really wish we would choose one time or the other and stick with it though.

Unmarriageable sounds really interesting! Enjoy your week!
