It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
And another Monday, first one in July. The year is going fast which is maybe a good thing. I am enjoying being lazy by the fire with a little reading and TV. Hope you are all keeping well.
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
And I’ll be listening to The Sun Sister for a few weeks yet!
Up next:
Thank you for hosting and sharing your reads. Pear Shaped Life sounds pretty good!

It’s always fun to hear from people down south during the extremes of the year. Here we’re in the lazy days of summer, although honestly Seattle doesn’t really get that hot. But it’s time for fireworks and celebration in early July for our Independence Day. Officially only the city is supposed to set off fireworks, but the big event was canceled because of COVID-19, so there were even more private bangs than usual.
Lots of reading happening around here, although I keep starting new books. Lots of first thirds! Maybe next week I’ll read a dozen middles.

I hope you enjoy your reading by the fire this week. I’m reading in the AC (so grateful for that) as we are in a heat wave.

It does feel like the year is going fast. I feel like I somehow got left behind, though. I wish I could figure out a way to get back on board the year.
