And we come towards the end of October! Hope all that celebrate Halloween enjoy it.
Our Spring weather continues to be capricious. I drove into the city in the most stinking heavy rain one day, bumper to bumper and hardly able to see where I was going. Yucky.
I also got some time to read, quilt and do a bit of gardening, earthing up the potatoes that are appearing. I need to plant beans, I am a bit behind. I only like going out on sunny days!
What I read last week:
One audio completed and enjoyed. A Texas Kind of Christmas was for review and At the Mountain’s Edge was from my own shelf. All good reading.
What I am reading now:
Oops, accidentally picked this up for review so am now forging ahead!
And an audio book I bought months ago when there was a sale or something! Cute cover.
Up next:
A library book

You are very brave to drive in such weather. Glad you were safe.

Lovely looking books all around this week! I’ve been reading mostly mysteries lately but I’m really hoping to get back to romances and women’s fiction reads soon. I miss them! We’re having the same kind of weather and I’m staying inside as much as possible. Being caught in traffic in that kind of downpour is no fun.

I wish there was Spring weather here. It seems mother nature decided to skip the Autumn weather here in Missouri and go directly into Winter. The high temperature for Halloween is supposed to be 32 degrees with a chance of flurries!! I’m predicating I’m going to be stuck with a lot of candy as I doubt there will be many trick-or-treaters wanting to go out in the cold on Halloween night.

I enjoyed Window on the Bay. One of my reviewers read Susan Mallery’s book and enjoyed it. Happy reading!

We had a day like that yesterday – dark out all day with super heavy rain. Perfect fall weather today, though 🙂 Glad you are enjoying your garden and spring. And, yes, we LOVE Halloween here!
Enjoy your books this week and thanks for hosting!

I hear you…I only like sunny days too. 🙂 It is sunny but crisp here. All the leaves have fallen off the trees…not looking forward to winter.
ENJOY your books, gardening, and your quilting. Your quilts are GORGEOUS!! You are so talented.

They were handing out free Susan Mallery books at the Texas Book Festival this weekend, so I ended up bringing home one of her stories. I’ve never read her before, so I look forward to trying her.
Have a great week!

We had a sunny, warm weekend but I just checked the weather app for the upcoming week and saw a couple of days with snowflakes! I had taken a break from Mallery books but picked up Meant to be Yours when the publisher reached out about a blog tour (I’m so weak). It was fine but I think I’ve run the course, you know? I hope you have more sunny days this week!

The weather is mild here today thank goodness so at least the firies have a better chance at controlling the fires we are surrounded by at the moment.
Wishing you a great reading week
