It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
I had a really good week. It looks like I did a lot of reading and I did. But there were also outings and some sewing. One day we had really cold weather – like back to winter – and by 10am I lit the fire and sat by it all day and read. Don’t think I even did that in winter!

Up next:
I can’t wait until it’s cold enough for the fireplace. I can’t use it very often because of the toddler. I don’t trust her, so we can only have fires when she’s in bed.

Fires in the fireplace make me nervous! But reading by the fire all day sounds heavenly, especially when it’s cold outside. We had our first really chilly day of fall just today!

We are just starting to have cooler weather so I’m enjoying being able to wear cold weather clothes but I know when you are done with the season it’s frustrating to have the temps dip back down. I loved that Mary Balogh series when I was reading it but its been far too long since I’ve picked up anything by her. Have a great week!

Things are cooling down here as well. Time to break out the sweaters.
Macomber is always a nice read. I enjoy Balogh as well. Hope you have a great week.

Always nice to read by the fire but I hope spring returns soon! Enjoy your books this week – I enjoyed both books.

I think fires make reading SO MUCH BETTER! Unfortunately, we don’t have a working fire place at our place. We do have a gas insert, but we disconnected it over a decade ago when the kids were babies and haven’t plugged it back in yet!

What a lovely way to read – curled up in front of a fire. We’ll soon need that here!
You had some great reading this week – haven’t read any of these – but will have to check them out.

Ooh, I love the sound of reading by the fire. I am also a fan of Sally Hepworth, so The Mother’s Promise looks very good.
