It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from
Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at
The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of
Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Greetings to you all. Hope you are keeping safe. Thinking about those facing a hurricane, or fires or Delta. I always like visiting so many of your posts and finding out how you are all doing in your place in the world.
We are still in lockdown although my area will lessen a little, with those who work in construction can go back to work safely on Wednesday and people can get takeaways in non contact way. However Auckland where the big outbreak is, they don’t have any of that.
After my first week in lockdown and a bit of moping, I’ve now got myself into a rhythm and am keeping myself occupied happily.
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
Ever wanted to inherit a castle!!!

And listening through and enjoying The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer

I like how New Zealand is being cautious and serious about Delta. You know it’s a bloody mess here in my country.

I know Stefanie. I would hate to be in the U.S. especially in some areas. So tough.

Keep safe and sane! I’m so glad you have found your rhythm and that stuff is starting to ease a bit. I have always wanted to inherit a castle, or a big rambling packed to the gills house, or a bookstore. I’m really not picky! Secrets and Seashells at Rainbow Bay sounds amazing. Have a wonderful week and enjoy your reading.

Glad you are adjusting to the lock down – it is difficult.
Books kept me sane when everything was shut down here.
Looks like some good books for you.
SECRETS AND SEASHELLS AT RAINBOW BAY looks adorable. Love that cover.
Enjoy the last day of August tomorrow.

Glad to hear you are re-adjusting to lockdown life and that things are beginning to loosen up for you. And they prohibit take-out during a strict lockdown??? Yikes – there’d be another revolution here if that ever happened!
Enjoy your books this week and your at-home pleasures 🙂 Thinking of you!

Nice looking books. Our whole State is recommending masking everywhere for everyone but not a lockdown. I hope yours doesn’t last long. Happy reading!

Delta is just a disaster, hopefully NZ will quash it quickly, it’s out of control here.

So sorry you are on lockdown. To be honest though, that might be what we need here in California. People aren’t making the wisest choices, and our numbers are going up again. Happy reading this week!

We’re close to having another lockdown here too. Our governor has reinstated an indoor and outdoor mask mandate, so hopefully, that will keep things from getting so out of hand that we have to take to our houses again. Sigh…I’m so beyond ready for this to me over!
