Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
Hope you all had a great Easter break. We turned our clocks back this weekend, and even though we get an extra hour it always seems like we miss out. However I do like the extra evening hours in summer so not complaining. We have about 6 months of each.
Trying like some of you to sort out WordPress, obviously going to have to study up a bit as things are different!! Just trying to put a gallery in and size the pictures, has been a major try out.

Hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend, too, Kathryn. We turned our clocks ahead a couple of weeks ago – I also struggle with “spring forward”! But you are right – it’s lovely that it’s now light out until past 7 pm.

I don’t understand why all the blogging platforms seem to have made changes that just seem to be an irritation with no benefit. So frustrating! I have Saving Savannah on my TBR but am waiting a bit for it. I love the Verity Kent series and really liked the one you have from the library. The Connolly series is fun and I love that Kate Carlisle series though somehow I never read the first few books. No idea how that happened! Have a great week!

I need to try a Connolly book. Would you call it a cozy?
The spring change of clocks always knocks me for a loop. We did it a few weeks ago and I’m just now feeling up to speed. I think it effected my reading!

Mary this Sheila Connolly book is the first time I’ve read her. It is delightfully Irish, and will be interesting to see how it develops. I believe it is a cozy mystery series. It was light on the mystery in this one.

I like the extra hour of light in the evening too.
LOVED Surviving Savannah. Hope you find something a bit lighter in between.
I only use WP on occasion, but it is a bit difficult even though I have the free version. I don’t like those boxes.

Thanks for the weekly catch up Kathryn right now I’m reading the last of Rachel Caine’s Stillhouse Lake series, Heartbreak Bay. It’s really strange knowing I will never read another book by her after her tragic death. Have a good week

I use the free version of wordpress so have had to keep things fairly basic on my blog. Hope you get it looking like you want it too soon. Happy reading!

Several great reads – which made it to my “want to read list”. I had considered switching to WordPress after struggling with blogger, but am no longer certain. Perhaps complicated has become the “nature of the beast”? Thank you for sharing!

I’m still grappling with the block editor too – I’ve still cheating at the moment using either copy post, or a classic block.
Daylight saving ended for us too, I’m already missing the evening sunshine.

I haven’t had so much trouble with images at MM but I keep switching modes in text uploads. Then I hope it looks okay. 🙂

I’ve been using the “new” wordpress since I accidentally switched to it in the beta stage and it is not fun. My guess is that they tried to be “user friendly” and either fell short or don’t quite understand their customer base. Oh well….

I, too, am going blind trying to work with Word Press. I figured a couple of things out…and then went totally blank on a few others. I am about to give up! LOL. I am saying to myself that linking images to Amazon isn’t worth the stress.
But…another day could bring a solution.
