It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Well our elections are over, culminating on Saturday night where I sat glued to the TV and my iPad until I was bug eyed. However pretty early on it was obvious from early on our Labour government was returned with a large majority and won’t  need another party to make a coalition to govern with. But it is expected that Jacinda Ardern our prime minister will include the Greens (environmental sort of party) in some form of it.

What I read last week:

What I am reading now:

This seems to be a follow up to The Printed Letter Bookshop, set in the same street with a few old and some new characters.

  1. I can’t wait to see what you think of Of Literature and Lattes. As you know I adored The Printed Letter Bookshop and have really been wanting to pick up this one.

  2. Wow, a political party opting to work WITH another party? Unheard of here at the moment – all the conflict and strife is really getting stressful. 2 more weeks to go until our election. So much is at stake this year.

Looks like a nice collection of books for you lately, Kathryn – enjoy them and thanks for hosting!

  3. I so admire your Prime Minister Kathryn. Here we’re so busy fighting over who’s right and who’s wrong instead of thinking of US the people who are suffering. Thanks for sharing and I’m moving to NZ 🙂

  4. I’m eager for our elections to be over. It’s tiring watching them all go at it.

All your books sound great this week. Love the cover for Tiny White Lies.

Hope you have a nice week.

  5. It’s good that you have a clear party majority – we’ve only had one hung parliament in our history and it didn’t work well. I’d rather have been hearing about YOUR elections on the BBC than the USA elections. Happy reading 😊

  6. I hope your elections turned out the way you were hoping. I have heard good things about your prime minister even way over here, so hopefully she does well for you guys.

Take care and be well this week. 🙂
