New to me authors:
Kristin Harmel
Top Book for December.
Sadly I can’t name a top book for December. They were all good reads, but no one stands out to me as a top read.
Looking forward to reading in January

I’m always impressed by how much you read, Kathryn! I read 7 books in December, but all of them were very good. i think my favorite was Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel, which also made it to my Top 10 books of the year list (hopefully posting that this week!). Looks like a nice variety for you.
Hope you’re enjoying your January books!

I have the audio for the Kate Morton book and am looking forward to listening to it this year. I also have Lessons from the Prairie but had forgotten about it! Definitely need to get that one off the shelf! Happy January!

Kathryn, I’m surprised that Kristin Harmel was a new author for you; she is one of my favorites. I admit I have not read Sweetness of Forgetting, but her Book of Lost Names is one of the few books to which I have awarded 5 stars. Judy Zell

Judy I am more a contemporary fiction reader than historical so I read a lot less in that genre.
