It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

I seem to be reading mostly mysteries or suspense so I need to change that up when I can. I added in the Karen Rose book to my reading plan as I felt like  a non review book. It was very good but I think would be okay for an October horror month! So much of it is totally yucky, but I love the characters fighting the evil so what can I do! Well skip the parts I don’t want to visualise!

What I read last week:

What I am reading now:

A review book.

Up next:

A library book that became available.

  1. I think I would have skimmed through the gross parts in the Karen Rose book too. Not a fan of anything to graphic but it does sound like an interesting read. I’m looking forward to the Jennifer Ashley book. I’ve got that one to listen to and am really looking forward to it.

  2. Oh great post. I just finished the Karen Rose coming out in March for Library Journal called cold blooded liar, its a debut in a new series and it was FAB!!!

  3. Looks like you got into a bit of the scary stuff for Halloween week, Kathryn! Fun 🙂 You sound like me watching medical shows on TV – I love them but cover my eyes during the surgeries & gory parts!

Our Halloween night will be quiet, like yours. Last year we got a total of 2 trick-or-treaters! Not a lot of kids left in our neighborhood, and the ones here don’t seem to be home on Halloween.

Have a great week and enjoy your books!
