I had a good week. I finished watching Season 2 of All Creatures Great and Small. Now I see at least they are making a season 3 and 4 so something to wait for.
I listened to a podcast that interviewed an interior book designer. Who knew that was something that had to be thought through. Now I am examining the book I am reading more carefully to see what she was talking about!
We’ve had lots of rain and in for more. We have been blessed with lots of sun over summer but now the wet weather is here!
It’s a long weekend here – we celebrate the Queen’s Birthday in June and of course its her bitg 70 year celebration. I watched a little of it on You Tube. I only stream so don’t have any channels that might have shown more.
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
Almost finished and will do so today no doubt.
And still listening to Bloomsbury Girls.
Up next:
Interior book designer? Must google

How fun you celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. I’ve seen some festive parties by sewists and their families.

I feel like Home-Wreckers would be the right thing to read for me now, since we’re renovating our just bought house! I’ve been standing like the woman on the cover for, like, the past 6 days LOL.

OH! The Library at the End of The World looks fabulous! I’ve requested it from my library. Alas, they still don’t have Lost Coast Literary…I may do an inter-library loan for that one. Thank you for sharing!

I knew about interior book design because I had to do mine on my own … which was a STEEP learning curve, let me tell you!! Computer stuff is not my forte. I hired someone local that a friend had used & told her what I wanted for my book’s interior design. Three weeks later, she suddenly quit! Said what I wanted was impossible and she wouldn’t charge me. So, I dove in and attempted it myself – one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done! With the help of my assistant, Mr. Google, I finally figured out how to do everything I wanted (working within the quirks of Word) and am very happy with how it turned out, but wow, what a process!
Glad you enjoyed your books (and TV) this week – hope you have another good week!

I’m so happy they made a new version of All Creatures Great and Small. I love the old series, too.
Interior book design? That’s a completely new idea for me.

Any book with mention of a library in the title is tempting! Enjoy!

I love the covers of the books you pick out! I’ve never read any of the authors you’re reading right now except Felicity Hayes-McCoy, but hopefully someday!

Winter has arrived here too, the nights have become quite chilly. The Queens birthday long weekend is next week for us though.
A lovely selection of books, I’m catching up so still haven’t quite got to Bloomsbury Girls yet.
Wishing you a great reading week

I am interested in your thoughts on the Library at the Edge of the World.

Well now I want to know more about book design! We have a dear friend who is in the UK and she sent us a big box of Jubilee goodies which was so fun. I’ve really enjoyed the footage I’ve seen but like you I haven’t seen too much of it. Have a wonderful week!

I hadn’t heard that there are going to be 2 more seasons of All Creatures. Yay! I love that show.
I’ve fallen hopelessly behind on Mary Kay Andrews books. I used to read them as soon as she published them. I need to make the effort to catch up.
Enjoy your week!

I watched a little of the Queen’s Jubilee. I loved seeing her great-grandchildren! I’ve never thought about someone having to design the interior of a book, but that’s an important job!
