It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

And we are in the middle of November already. I had a good reading week, and my biggest event was that a new bed that I had ordered arrived. It is now installed and used. It is far more comfortable than my last one. I had dallied about getting a new one but finally did it!

What I read last week:

One from my Kindle, the audio via Libby, and the last a recent buy.

What I am reading now:

Just beginning this book, a review book, chosen because it has the word quilt and a cover with one! I am making a memory quilt of my mother – the third actually, which will go to one of my nieces. It is quite different to this one I am sure.  It’s Amish Christian romance I am sure I’ll enjoy it, because yes – you know that word – quilt!

The Memory Quilt

And I will be listening to The Legacy which has been sitting in my Audible library for awhile now.

Up next:

Another book from the Kindle black hole.

  1. Looks like your have a wide genre of fantastic reads! I hope things work out for the couple in The Memory Quilt – it sounds endearing…

  2. I’m envious of your new bed! Glad to hear you are sleeping well. Great list of books. I’m still waiting for Singh’s book from the library. Happy reading this week Kathryn

  3. Looks like some nice variety in your reading this week! We live very close to one of the largest Amish communities in the U.S., in Lancaster, PA. When we drive out that way to see our Lyme doctor, we pass as many horse and buggies as cars!

Enjoy your books this week –
    Book By Book

  4. I will be reading the Memory Quilt soon. I love that you are reading books from your Kindle, that is something I plan to make more of an effort to do in 2022. I am currently trying to catalog them ALL on Goodreads so that I know what I have! Have a great week and thanks for hosting 🙂

  5. I recently got a new bed too. It is getting comfortable now that it is a bit more broken in. I’m glad I’m not the only one with a Kindle Black Hole. I’m trying to read a few on the ones that have been lingering the longest before the year ends. Happy reading!

  6. Yes while all your flora and fauna are getting greener our leaves are falling along with the temps and we’re getting ready for Thanksgiving. Sarah Morgan’s is next on my reading list

  7. Oh there is nothing quite like getting a new bed – especially when it is desperately needed! I hope you enjoy it. I love the idea of a memory quilt. I’m sure your niece will absolutely love it. What a wonderful gift! I really loved Legacy – it reminded me a bit of Hideaway if you’ve read that one. The storylines aren’t really the same but the way the main characters are developped have a similar feel. I’m the same way about dogs in books. If I had been reading it I would have had to flip ahead! Have a wonderful week!
