It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Hope you are all doing okay in this ever changing world. I am hoping for a going down of levels of lockdown announcement today for my area. Although that means tidying up the house a bit as it allows for us to intermingle more.

What I read last week:

What I am reading now:

Battle RoyalAnd listening to

Checked Out for Murder

  1. I just listened to the first book in that Darynda Jones series and enjoyed it so much! I’m trying to give my library another month to get the 2nd one in audio before I use an audible credit. I love the Allison Brook series and it’s a great one in audio! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week!

    1. At some point I’d like to listen to the audio of A Bad Day for Sunshine because I think it would be really fun. When I am ready for a reread. Yes I am really liking the Allison Brook series and will want to keep going with it and on audio!

  2. I hope that for you, too, Kathryn! That you can get back to “normal” life. The Delta variant is still raging here (though not too bad in my own part of the state, since we have a high vaccination rate), and people are still acting as if nothing is happening. Our next-door neighbor hosted a HUGE party Saturday! Granted, it was outdoors (and very loud!) but it was a LOT of people all gathered together. My neighborhood book group is trying to decide on indoor meeting, outdoor meeting, or Zoom when we start back up next week after our summer break.

Well, at least it seems you have had some lovely, comforting books to keep you company! Hope you enjoy more good books this week and thanks for hosting!

  3. I like the sound of so many of your books! I was listening to Darynda Jones’ supernatural mystery series, but I’m way behind so maybe I should just jump to this new one.
I know what you mean about having to clean for company. That was one nice thing when all visiting was virtual…you only had to have a screen-sized background be tidy, while the rest of the place could be a disaster! 😉

  4. It’s true that with lockdowns, I didn’t keep my house as tidy because no one was coming in. 😉 Hope your lockdowns decrease. Where I am, the number of covid hospital patients are higher now than they’ve been in the whole pandemic. It’s so horrible. We did not handle lockdowns well nor keep them long enough here. Now we’re paying the price.
