A good week. Winter hasn’t really set in yet although its rainy today.
Opening my Facebook feed one morning I was shocked to see the death of author Lucinda Riley. Some of you will know her because of The Seven Sisters book. #7 has just published and there was to be one more final one. Not sure if that is in the pipeline now or not. She had been battling cancer for the last 4 years but kept it very quiet. Another big loss in the book world and of course to her family. I did a bit of “research” on her and found out she wrote her books by speaking them, never actually using pen or paper or computer typing. She was born in Ireland and then lived pretty much her adult life in England. She visited New Zealand just before the pandemic as she was researching for #7 book. Thank you Lucinda Riley for the pleasure of so many interesting books.
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
Still listening to The Missing Sister by Lucinda Riley. Well into it now.
Up next:
What? Riley died? I have missed that

Yes I did hear of her passing but I never read her. A great loss though. One of my favorite authors passed away last year from cancer too Rachel Caine. Thanks for your weekly updates Kathryn

I had seen mention of Lucinda Riley’s death. So sad that another author is lost to cancer. I haven’t read her books, but I have the first in her Seven Sisters series on my TBR shelf.
I enjoy both Shalvis and Huber. I am glad to see you read their books recently. 🙂 The Newcomer sounds so good. I hope you are enjoying it! The cover of Heather Webber’s book is so pretty. I hope you like that one too!
Have a great week, Kathryn!

Thanks Katherine, you are a warrior for sure. Yes I have felt so sad about Lucinda Riley, what a brave woman to keep writing even when she was so sick. I watched her on You Tube being interviewed by her son.

I had heard the news as well but haven’t read any of her books. So many authors have been lost the past year or so.
Shalvis and Andrews I’ve read – the others look interesting. Will check these all out. Happy reading this week.
