It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Hope you are all doing well and reading happily. I know some of you are looking forward to Spring and I am thinking of planting some bulbs for Spring later on!

  2. I like Gary D. Schmidt, too, but haven’t read anything by him in a long time. I am a sucker for books about bookstores, so I may look for The Bookstore on the Beach. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which I’m reading now, has a bookstore in it.

  3. I meant to plant bulbs last fall and didn’t get to it. Wish I had! Next time.

Oh, I am a big Gary Schmidt fan, too!! This looks like a new one! And with a girl main character? I’m in! Will have to look for it – thanks for the heads up.

Enjoy your gardening and your books this week – thanks for hosting the linkup!

  4. I read a Julia Kelly book at the beginning of the year and really enjoyed it so The Light Over London is calling me. Curious to hear what you thought of the Anna Lee Huber. It’s one of those series that clicks with me but I can see not everyone loving it. Hope your refrigerator situation is sorted out. That sounds like no fun!

    1. Katherine I liked the Anna Lee Huber book enough to want to read the next one. I want to see where it goes next. It was very different yet good. Waiting for a guy to come this afternoon to look at the fridge!! Trying to cheerfully keep things cold. Lucky I do have a deep freeze to turn to but being without a fridge makes me realise how beholden we are to them.
