It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Hope you are all doing okay. This week I achieved a satisfying completion of books, mainly because I’d been listening to two audiobooks and came to the end of them.

Apart from that the usual gardening, sewing and of course reading. I also finally decided to upgrade my phone as it was no longer being updated by Apple and I couldn’t get various apps, especially the one we use here to track where we visit shops etc during this time of the virus. I hope the SE20 will see me through a good more few years!

What I read last week:

Up next:

Second in a trilogy that Emilie Richards is preparing to re-publish in September, October and November. It is always a treat for me to read her books.

  1. I’m sad to say I DNF’d Jennifer Weiner’a Last book Mrs. Everything. Maybe I should give Big Summer a try, though.
I’m still making do with an older model phone because my husband had to replace his first, but eventually it will have to be done!

    1. Don’t you hate big expenses like updating phones! I do anyway. This really is the first book I’ve fully given my attention to by Jennifer Weiner and did like it. I had heard Mrs Everything was liked by others but none of us like everything and that’s okay. Why waste time on books that we don’t connect with.

    1. Oh how funny is that we got the same phones. I did a small bit of research and decided it was the best way for me to go. I do hate though how Apple does not update older phones!

  2. Can’t wait to read THE PARIS LIBRARY. I hear so many good things about it.

I am going to have to update my phone too. The battery goes from 100% to 35% or less within two hours even when I’m not using it.

    Take care.

Enjoy the last full week of August….CRAZY!!

    1. I think you will like The Paris Library because it details the marvellous USA library in Paris in the war. Definitely worth the read. I see its in your review list. Oh yuck on the phone battery.

  3. I need to update my phone and laptop – hopefully before the end of the year. I’m curious about the re-issued Emilie Richards. I’ve only read one of her recent sisters series. I liked it!
