For a reader who is not that into Jane Austen I seem to have read or plan to read ones by authors who obviously have a fondness for Jane that I have not been able to engender within myself.
This one I have in audiobook and I plan to listen to it next. I’ve never read anything before by Natalie Jenner but have seen some good reviews for this book.
I listened to Recipe for Persuasion a little while ago and really enjoyed it.
Unmarriageable is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Another audiobook in my play list all ready to go.
I read Ayesha at Last in 2019 and really enjoyed it as well. Another Pride and Prejudice retelling.
I read Pride Prejudice and Other Flavours last year as well and really enjoyed it. It follows up the other book I mentioned above by Sonali Dev.
It looks like Pride and Prejudice is the favourite book authors pick.
The last book I’ve read and it was really good.

I do enjoy Jane Austen but I haven’t read many spin-offs! 😀 My favorite Austen book is Persuasion. That letter Captain Wentworth writes at the end–*swoon!* One spin-off I did read and enjoy is Austenland. I listened to the audiobook read by Katherine Kellgren. It’s hilarious! The movie was really good too.

I have only read one Jane Austen book, Pride and Prejudice, and that was many years ago. I have read and enjoyed some retellings, however, and also enjoyed the book The Jane Austen Book Club, by Karen Joy Fowler, which I really loved. There was also a movie made from this one.
I’ve also seen some Jane Austen retellings in movies made for Hallmark or Lifetime.
Thanks for sharing.

I enjoy reading Austen retellings and have read the last one on your list. Persuasion is my favorite JA book so I’m really looking forward to Recipe for Persuasion. Fun post today, Kathryn.

I’m not fussed by Jane Austen spinoffs but I am interested in the audio of The Jane Austen Society simply because it is narrated by Richard Armitage

I also don’t really get on with Jane Austen but did quite enjoy Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Might give one of these a go too!
