It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
I had a slow reading week – I know not why! Anyway I did.
I hope everyone is staying well. Uncertain times. Take care everyone.
What I read last week:
I read this one, a sort of memoir of a very entrepreneurial woman who was courageous and hard working. It was interesting to see her grow up on a farm in the USA as she was just a few years younger than myself. (Unfortunately she died a few years back.) The book itself is a little repetitive and could certainly have benefited from some good editing.

Last Week’s Posts
The sewist seemed like a nice expert in the field; I watched a few of her tutorials in the past. Is social distancing going on in New Zealand?

Stefanie we are just advised to keep our distance and no crowds over 500 at moment. But lots weddings etc cancelled. I am only going out when I really need to. I usually go to church but have decided not to until such time as we are clear. I caught a cold a couple of weeks ago from someone who sneezed into his sleeve beside me, but not obviously totally. I think we make our own decisions and not wait for governments to call it. Although ours is doing a reasonable job.

Oh, I hadn’t heard of Don’t Overthink It yet, but I love Anne Bogel’s podcast What Should I Read Next? One of my favorite books podcasts! Will have to check out her book (and I know she has written another one, too).
Enjoy your books during this challenging time! And thanks for hosting the linkup.

The cover of The Heirloom Garden is calling me. It’s beautiful! I also really want to read the Anne Bogel book. I’ve wanted to read all of her books but so far haven’t gotten to any of them. Too bad the memoir could have used an editor as it sounds like a fascinating story. Have a wonderful week and stay safe!

We are all on edge and feel uncertain about what is to come. All we can do is walk the road as best we can, blindfolded, and in the dark.
