It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

I had a good week, summer is in full swing now. I had my first summer swim this last week. I went into the city and with a friend we crossed the harbour in a local ferry and spent the day at a popular bay. It was one of those perfect days.

What I read last week:

A fun romance, Fijian/Indian Bollywood style and set in Auckland, NZ.

What I am reading now:

Different but interesting. I am half way through, some things revealed now so wondering where it will vere next.  It’s a bit of fantasy, time travel or door travel and story.

    1. Yes it is fantasy although not too out there. Anne Bogel says its fantasy for those who don’t read fantasy! Not sure about that but I can read some fantasy and this was easy to read in terms of fantasy.

  1. Ah, your perfect summer day sounds lovely! I really can;t complain about winter here because although we’ve had a lot of dark, rainy days, we’ve also had some sunshine & it is often in the 50’s – nice for taking walks, though not so good for our planet 😦 I just heard that globally, it was the hottest January on record, and the 4 hottest Januaries have all been in the past 5 years. We haven’t had a drop of snow, and it’s mid-February. Scary.

Oooh, Ten Thousand Doors… sounds intriguing – I love anything to do with time travel, alternate universes, and similar themes. Will have to look for that one. I am about 3-4 months behind in requesting audios for review, so I really need to get moving on that!

Enjoy your books (and weather!) this week, Kathryn, and thanks for hosting!
