It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

I had a really good enjoyable week of reading this week. Loved all my books.

While summer is showing its face at the moment for me, I have to think winter, so this week I got delivered a cubic metre of wood. I have to cart it from the front of the house around to the back and stack it so its been a few barrow loads at a time. But I work on the premise that twenty or so minutes a day gets a task accomplished. My word for the year!

First photo shows shed all tidied for wood, second photo shows 95% of wood stacked, still some more to do and a tidy up out the front!

    1. I have thought of you lately as I choose my next read. I am beginning to think I have to be planned with my next read so that when I come off a book whether its good or bad I need something to pick up. Believe it or not I stand in front of about 80 or so books and think do I feel like any of these?

  1. Wow, that’s a LOT of wood stacking – good for you! Good exercise, too! I made a fire in my fireplace today – a nice treat on a cold day.

Hope you enjoyed Guts – I did (and all of Raina’s books!)

Enjoy your books – and that nice summer weather! Thanks for hosting the linkup –

    1. Tina I have no idea, a second book Postcript came out and I thought I’d read this one. It is set in Ireland if that helps. While it is about a young widow the pub tone to it put me off and I called it a DNF!

    1. Elizabeth I have a heat pump and use that usually during the day if needed. If the sun comes up it keeps the place warm by itself. I light the fire generally early evening. I probably won’t use all the wood, if our winter is mild like last winter.

  3. We are lucky in that we have acquired enough wood to get through winter, not that we will be burning wood that often. Maybe we have enough for two winters!

  4. Always good to be prepared! We’re thick in the middle of winter and burning some wood sounds pretty good haha- we just got a bunch of snow. 🙂

Glad your reading week was a good one- hope this week is also!

  5. Accomplish is a good word. We did the woodpiles for several years but now we have to get the chimney repaired. We are using room heaters and electric blankets. Fortunately, it hasn’t been too cold this year.
You had a good reading week.
Enjoy your week and Happy Reading!
