Cover Love

I think I like those blues and summer feel!

Most Surprising

Why? It’s a male author and I rarely read them. The cover is uninviting. The book is such fun and the heroine, a seventy something, is amazing. The writing is wonderful and while the story moves reasonably slowly it is still totally engaging.

Best Book From A Series

To be honest all the books from my loved series were great, however I have a special love for the pay/changeling series so I will choose this one that came out in 2019.

  1. Schmidt is from my home state and I love his work–I too wish he had more books published as I’d snatch them up. I reread The Wednesday Wars a few years ago and loved it even more the second time. So many of the books you read I still want to read. I recently gifted myself Tell Me Three Things and I’m so happy you loved it.

  2. Ayesha and Celine are on my TBR list. I’ve heard the audio of Celine is great. You had a fabulous year and I see we have several in common. Here’s hoping 2020 will be just as good!

    1. Thanks and dang it, I just spent more money at the Book Depository getting carried away from rereading my own post and deciding I had to buy some Gary Schmidt books and then I bought a couple of books for a great niece. Ouch!
