It’s Monday! What Are You Reading just before Christmas?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Well wishing you all a very blessed Christmas if you celebrate this wonderful family day. If not, then still sending you blessings. The world certainly needs love, peace and hope in buckets. Let’s all be kind to ourselves and others.

What I read last week:

Fatal Accusation #15 in a great romantic suspense series came out and I read it soon as it hit my Kindle. 15 is a lot, but I remember when I found this series I read the first few one after another until I had to wait for the next one!

Celine was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you want an older heroine – like 70, this is your book. What a woman! It had suspense and humour.

What I am reading now:

Loving this – great addition to the series.

Up next:

I’ll see the year out with these two books and then, with maybe time for one more but will see. It will be then time for First Book of the Year. I think I have chosen it.

  1. So glad you enjoyed Celine, too! And I have always enjoyed Elizabeth Berg’s novels, though it’s been a while since I’ve read one – thanks for reminding me I have one on my TBR bookcase!

And thanks for reminding me about First Book of the Year! Will have to choose a good one.

Merry Christmas, Kathryn!! I’ve enjoyed our online friendship & getting to know you better this year –

  2. I’m reading The Little Bookshop on the Seine right now and enjoying it. I’m not sure yet what my last book of the year will be or the first book, for that matter. Hope you have a great week! Merry Christmas!
