It’s Monday! What Are You Reading This September?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Well August has ended, on Saturday I had a wonderful “bookish moment” when my niece and children and sister and brother in law turned up to sing happy birthday as the children had been sick and had missed my birthday. We had a lovely morning and I loved their birthday wishes singing of course. I was also given this gorgeous painting by my niece Sonia (artist) of Max (5) and Scarlett  (4) sharing a book. It will be treasured evermore.

What I read last week:

I enjoyed When We Believed in Mermaids, if you like stories about sisters, you’ll like it. Rival’s Break review will post this coming week. The Shell Seekers was a delight on audio.

What I am reading now:

And I’ve started to listen to Connections in Death.   #48 in the series.

Up next:

Not sure!  Either a library book or one from my TBR shelf.

  1. I love Nora Roberts’ books so much! But have yet to read her books under JD Robb. I’ll have to fix that soon!

  2. What a nice birthday surprise & what a lovely painting! I don’t even know the kids, and I love it – your niece is very talented!

I know it’s not a holiday where you are, but remember today is the last day of Big Book Summer Challenge! Still plenty of time to post reviews or wrap-ups (if you want to), but it’s the last day for reading Big Books to count for the challenge – I’m finishing my last one today!

Enjoy your books this week & thanks for hosting the linkup!

  3. What a wonderful gift and how special!
I’m curious about the Robb book being #48 in the series. Have you kept up or can one jump in anywhere? I haven’t read any of her books under this name.
    Have a lovely week!

    1. Mary I have pretty much read the main books in the series. I did skip a few in the middle but not many. The characters develop over time. If you were reading the series I’d read at least the first few in order. They are great on audio.
