It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from
Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at
The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of
Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
For some reason the last week seems to have been rather long to me, not that it was boring, just that it had a lot of days in it! Lovely sunshine today, but cold, which I love and would welcome colder. Much of the country has snow but the cold only lightly graced our coastal area.
I had a good reading week, totally loved three of these books and one was just okay. But happily it was a library book.
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
Just starting another book by Carmel Harrington – Irish author. Thanks to Trish at Between the Lines who introduced this author to me.
I am still listening to the Rosamunde Pilcher book The Shell Seekers and will likely be most of the month as its long.

Love to read and quilt.

My TBR is mostly physical books, just stacked up. I’d have to go get them to tell you what’s in the pile. My kindle is probably more than a year of Amazon First Reads that I pick each month, but then just don’t get around to reading. LOL

Glad you are finally getting your colder weather.
I’m glad you had a good reading week.
I like the look of Every Time a Bell Rings and Five Years Gone.
Happy Reading!

Nora Roberts is a comfort read for me. I guess J.D. Robb is as well, although I expect different things from those books.

The Shell Seekers was my absolute favorite book for years though now it’s been awhile since I’ve read it. I think it would be fantastic on audio. I think I’m going to listen to Under Currents soon. I’m definitely in the mood for a good romantic suspense. Have a great week!

Hope you love Under Currents as much as I did. Loving The Shell Seekers on audio, but can’t get over how selfish Penelope’s children are!

Snow and cold? Sounds pretty nice now! Though we had a little respite with a short trip to the mountains, so only 80’s instead of 90’s or 100’s!
Glad you had a good reading week – I’ve been hearing a lot about The Huntress and Things You Save in a Fire – will have to check out your reviews!
Enjoy your books this week, stay cozy, and thanks for hosting the linkup!

I smiled at how you’d like colder weather. My type of weather for sure. We won’t cool down until November. It’s been 80’s here.

What did you think of Under Currents? I normally like Nora Roberts books but this one sounded a little to grim for me.

Kathy it does have domestic abuse in it, but…its not too graphic. In fact I have read worse NR books. I highly recommend Under Currents.

Sometimes sunshine and cool temps go well together! I like a day like that myself.
Hope you have a wonderful week Kathryn!

My sister will grouse at me, but I am getting geared up for the fall and winter holidays. The kids are heading back to school in a couple weeks, so my brain is switching gears.
Every Time a Bell Rings would be right up my alley. Hope you have a great week.

The nights have been cool enough here in California to need the duvet. That’s unusual for summer. I hope you get the winter weather you want. 🙂
