It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Firstly I wish each of you a very blessed and enjoyable time with family and friends this Christmas.

I have been thinking about my first book for January 2018 as Sheila is hosting it again next year. If you haven’t done it before this is a fun book event to become involved in. Read all about it here.

I need to get my photo and book organised!

This week I also noticed that Sarah from Sarah’s Bookshelves is going to start a new book podcast in the New Year. I listened to the Trailer and loved it so I am looking forward to listening in during 2019. If you like a good book podcast head over to her blog and read all about Sarah’s Bookshelves Podcast.

What I read last week:

I read three review books ( one was short). I enjoyed them all.

I also finished this audiobook, and I have to say it hooked me in, it was so well narrated by January LaVoy.

  1. Some really great-looking books there!! I’m interested in a few of them. I need to hear a snippet of Shelter in Place since you say the narrator is very good. I love great audio narrators.
    Thanks for sharing. 😊

  2. Mahalo for the holiday wishes, Kathryn. Safe travels to you and hope your ohana time is full of belly-aching laughter and tears of joy. I’m still pondering on my First Book of the Year. I think it may be a popular, good ol’ fiction book. I’m not impressed with mystery and I’ve certainly read enough fantasy lately.

  3. I sent in my photo for First Book of The Year and then decided to change it, but I am just leaving my photo for Shelia. I am sure she has so many to sort through. 🙂

  4. You’ve read books I would really like. Burying Water was one of those on sale that I left in my cart. So – I might get it next year. Hope you like it.
I have to get my First Book of the Year post together too.
I hope you have a blessed Christmas! Happy Reading!
