It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

I had a really slow week reading. I loved When We Found Home and so I slow read and enjoyed it. I also caught up on a few TV shows and quilted and gardened. Nothing to complain about!

This weekend we have a long weekend as its our Labour Day on Monday. The sun is shining and a perfect day to sit in the sun and read!

What I read last week:

What I am reading now:

  1. Sounds like a nice week 🙂

I like your term “slow read” – I’m a pretty slow reader anyway, but it is nice when you don’t feel rushed and can just immerse yourself in a book. I am often pushing myself to finish a book for book group or review.

Enjoy your books this week & your nice weather!

    Thanks for hosting –

  2. I picked up When We Found Home at the library book sale. It was an uncatalogued donation, so I got it for $0.65!! Hard not to buy at that price 🙂 I haven’t tried Susan Mallery yet.

Enjoy your long weekend and the sunshine! It’s sunny here too, and it has warmed up a bit. I was able to get at my lilac bushes yesterday to trim them down, but the ones closest to the fence are too hard to reach and I asked my neighbour to get them for me. Plus, he has a chainsaw so that makes it easy for him!

  3. The weather has been super nice here too. I actually felt the hot sun on my face today and I soaked it all in on my walk. It was a beautiful day and we are finally getting the fall weather we’ve been missing. Here’s to many more *crosses fingers
