It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.
Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
I had a really slow week reading. I loved When We Found Home and so I slow read and enjoyed it. I also caught up on a few TV shows and quilted and gardened. Nothing to complain about!
This weekend we have a long weekend as its our Labour Day on Monday. The sun is shining and a perfect day to sit in the sun and read!
What I read last week:
What I am reading now:
Plus still listening to How to Find Love in a Bookshop.
Up next:
This is by an Australian author, I haven’t read her before.
Last Week’s Posts
Christmas Camp by Karen Schaler
I love slow reading weeks…I am starting to want them more and more and more. Sitting in the sun with a book…lovely. Have a wonderful week!

Jaymi I loved it. All her trademark style and author’s voice. Laughed and cried!

Sounds about right for a Cathy Lamb… how does she do it?!

The Lost Pearl looks interesting– and an Aussie author? I think I’ll save this one for summer.

Nice week for you….ENJOY this upcoming week.
I am a bit late – had some testing and was gone almost all day.
Have a great week, Kathryn, and thanks for being a great host.

Sounds like a nice week 🙂
I like your term “slow read” – I’m a pretty slow reader anyway, but it is nice when you don’t feel rushed and can just immerse yourself in a book. I am often pushing myself to finish a book for book group or review.
Enjoy your books this week & your nice weather!
Thanks for hosting –
Sue

I picked up When We Found Home at the library book sale. It was an uncatalogued donation, so I got it for $0.65!! Hard not to buy at that price 🙂 I haven’t tried Susan Mallery yet.
Enjoy your long weekend and the sunshine! It’s sunny here too, and it has warmed up a bit. I was able to get at my lilac bushes yesterday to trim them down, but the ones closest to the fence are too hard to reach and I asked my neighbour to get them for me. Plus, he has a chainsaw so that makes it easy for him!

All three of the books in this post look good. Some books are just meant to be read nice and slow, savoured really. I miss sitting in the sun to read. Too cold now. Enjoy the rest of your reading week.

The weather has been super nice here too. I actually felt the hot sun on my face today and I soaked it all in on my walk. It was a beautiful day and we are finally getting the fall weather we’ve been missing. Here’s to many more *crosses fingers

The last book has such a pretty cover. I’d like to try victory rolls in my hair. Sounds like you had a nice, low-key week of all of your favorite things.
