Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!
Congratulations to the final two winners for August on last week’s link up.
What I read Last Week
Loved this one, short review will follow.
I also read this library book as planned
And then on to this first review book for the month.
What I am reading now…
This book by an Australian author, it was my turn for it at the library. As there are 27 people who have it reserved after me, I knew I wouldn’t get a renewal so it needed to have immediate reading! Love the cover. Can you tell its set mostly in Italy. And the book has such a nice clean new ring to it. The advantage of reserving it way ahead of it hitting the shelf!
I am still listening to Crimes Against a Book Club and enjoying it, wondering how it will all end!
Up next
Most likely this other library read, crisp new hardback. Yummy. This is a book I noted a few bloggers reading and liking so I am hoping as I have never read this author before.
looking good Kathryn. I’m just today putting up all my autumn decorations 🙂

There’s a distinct autumnal feel here in France although not as pronounced as in the UK last week. Too chilly there now! I am a little envious of your Spring – my favourite season I think

Looks like a fun week of reading. I envy you heading into spring. I’m much more of a spring/summer person than a fall/winter one. Maybe I need to have two homes on opposite sides of the world!

I hope Three Gold Coins and Rush are good reads. I hope to get out a book post tomorrow. I ended up spending lots of time outside w/a neighbor and our kids today.

Happy Spring to you, Kathryn!! Of course, Sept. 1 means fall is on the way here, though it is still super hot & humid right now. I love fall & can;t wait for it to cool down a bit so I can get outside more.
Wow, lots of books for you last week – and lots of variety!
Enjoy your books this week and thanks for hosting!

Sue I do hope some cooler weather comes your way soon. To be honest while I enjoy summer, hot, humid temps are not my fave!

Sorry to hear about the yucky weather. It’s cooled off here, so autumn has definitely arrived. Leaves are falling, which means lots of yard work!
I love the cover of the Christmas March book. I haven’t tried her, but I love Christmas books. ‘Tis the season to see all the new ones coming out which makes me happy!
Have a great week!

Yes leaves falling are beautiful but… gathering them up not so much fun! I think you’d like Emily March books, they are very enjoyable.

Morning from California! We have a holiday today and that means more time to read! Cathy Lamb is one of my favorites. My favorite of hers is What I Remember Most and Henry’s Sisters. ❤️

Thank you so much for the prize, I’m really looking forward to reading Younger. We’re in for some yucky weather here – turning from sun to rain in a matter of minutes.

The Book Dep just emailed to say it is on its way. Yeah the weather is atrocious here too, some of the coldest we have had, even the snow fields are getting snow! Oh well Spring will come back I guess.
