Sunday Post. What Are You Reading? Fitreaders.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? badge for Sunday Post
Sheila at Book Journey runs It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? While this  meme is not active at present I will be linking up as well to the Sunday Post at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I had a good week, lots of sewing, who knew how difficult it is to get everything lined up when quilting, but learning is part of the journey, and I’ll have some kind of quilt – if a little crooked at the end of it!
I spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Wellington city today, at our museum, viewing an extraordinary display about Gallipoli. Then a walk along the wharf, so all in all a good day for my fitbit stats!

Had a good week and met my goal of 46 200 steps. I was just a little above that, although no walking on Saturday as I had met my goal and the day seemed to fly by without walking!

What I read last week:

I continued on my way back reading Cathy Lamb, enjoyed it but not my favourite.
Blueprints I enjoyed and I am now in 2004 published for the J. D. Robb books. Gradually getting there! Just eleven years behind at two a year!
Safe Harbor was a very good audio, 2nd in Hubbard’s Point/Black Hall series. Tanya Eby narrated it very well.

What I am reading at present:

Know Your Heart by Tracey Alvarez – a contemporary romance.
Audio:  The Summer Wind by Mary Alice Monroe

Up next:

Zac and Mia by A. J. Betts – I won this maybe last year or 2013, so just reading it now!

Posts from the last week.

  1. Can you believe I've never read a Cathy Lamb book? I was just approved for her new one on Netgalley. I'm excited to try it.

Hope this week is a good one!

  2. Sheree I think your Gallipoli display will be your own as this one is going to be here for a couple of years. Totally amazing the way museums present things these days. There have been huge crowds and it was squashed room only yesterday. Huge bigger than life displays by Weta Workshop – they said we weren't to touch and I can see why as I was so tempted to touch! The hair on their legs seemed so real!!

  3. Good on you for hitting your target this week Katherine, glad you enjoyed the Gallipoli display, I love going to those things, I wonder if that's the same display that is coming soon to Brisbane?
I just finished The Guest Cottage, my first Nancy Thayer. I really liked it and can't wait to read more. I've also got a few Mary Alice Monroe's on my TBR stack, audio and eBook. Have a great week, happy reading and quilting 🙂

  5. Well done on meeting your walking goal early! I fell off the fitness wagon again last week, so need to climb back on. You'd think it would be easy to ride an exercise bike, but I always put it off until it's too late. Going to start riding it first thing in the morning so I don't have to worry about it! How are you liking the JD Robb books? Love that series, and it just keeps getting better and better IMO! Have a great week!

  6. Glad you had a great week. Blueprints is on my radar as I have not read Barbara in a long time. I would love to learn to quilt, but have so many other projects that I need to finish.

  7. I love the J.D. Robb series and am currently listening my way through the beginning books. I'm not sure where I actually left off at this point but it has been really fun to go back to the beginning where the characters are just forming their relationships with each other. It has turned into a comfort series for me 🙂 Hope you have a great week and happy reading!

  8. I've only read one JD Robb and it was ages ago. I really need to go back and catch up. Blueprints looks good too. Congratulations on meeting your step goal and on learning to quilt! That's high on my list of things I want to do though it may have to wait a few years. Have a great week!

  9. That sound like a beautiful day, and glad you had a good week. I think it's fun you're working your way through an author's work by year!

The Guest Cottage, that looks like a good summer read. Nantucket and summer go well together I imagine. 🙂

  11. Congrats on continually keeping your walking stats up. I'm sure your quilt will be lovely. I'm not sure which of the three books in The Summer girls series I enjoyed most. They were all good. Enjoy your week.

  13. It's finally getting cold here so guess it's more so there.

I'm looking forward to seeing this quilt… Are we going to get regular updates?

  14. Blueprints looks really good. My mother loves to quilt and has made some amazing quilts. Folks will pay top dollar for them too. I love strolling through museums and it sounds like you had a good time. Enjoy your week 🙂
